Follicular lymphoma (FL) is the second most common type of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Manual histological grading of FL is subject to remarkable inter- and intra-reader variations. A promising approach to grading is the development of a computer-assisted system that improves consistency and precision. Correlating information from adjacent slides with different stain types requires establishing spatial correspondences between the digitized section pair through a precise non-rigid image registration. However, the dissimilar appearances of the different stain types challenges existing registration methods.This study proposes a method for the automatic non-rigid registration of histological section images with different stain types. This method is based on matching high level features that are representative of small anatomical structures. This choice of feature provides a rich matching environment, but also results in a high mismatch probability. Matching confidence is increased by establishing local groups of coherent features through geometric reasoning. The proposed method is validated on a set of FL images representing different disease stages. Statistical analysis demonstrates that given a proper feature set the accuracy of automatic registration is comparable to manual registration.  相似文献

In previous studies, a criterion has been developed that guarantees stability of a slotted ALOHA system, provided the offered load is below a certain upper bound. This is done by selecting the control parameters through consideration of the estimated drift characteristics. A new joint drift analysis is presented that provides a sequential method for choosing control parameters so as to eliminate bistable operation and guarantee system stability not only below the upper bound referred to earlier, but also above the bound. A series of microencapsulated phase-change materials (PCMs) with styrene–divinyl benzene shells composed of an n-octadecane (OD or C18)–n-hexadecane (HD or C16) mixture as the core were synthesized by an emulsion polymerization method. The effects of the core/shell ratio (C/S) and surfactant concentration (Csurf) on the thermal properties and encapsulation ratios of the PCMs were investigated. The chemical structures and morphological properties of the microcapsules were characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy analysis, respectively. The characteristic peaks of the paraffin mixtures and shell material located in the FTIR spectrum of the microencapsulated PCMs proved that the encapsulation of the PCM mixture was performed successfully. The thermal properties of the paraffin microcapsules were determined by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis. DSC analysis demonstrated that the microcapsules containing the maximum amount of paraffin mixture (C/S = 2:1) and the minimum Csurf (45 mmol/L) had the highest latent heat value of 88 kJ/kg and a latent heat of temperature of 21.06°C. Moreover, the maximum encapsulation ratio of the paraffin mixture was found to be 56.77%. With respect to the analysis results, the encapsulated binary mixture, which consisted of OD–HD with a poly(styrene-co-divinyl benzene) shell, is a promising material for thermal energy storage applications operating at low temperatures, such as in the thermal control of indoor temperatures and air-conditioning applications in buildings for desirable thermal comfort and energy conservation. © 2019 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
